Szigliget. This town is lively, delightful, and homely. For us who live here, it is the center of the universe, a value that cannot be grasped, cannot be put at a price, cannot be described. It is the pearl of Lake Balaton, and even more. When you look down from the top of the town’s castle, when you walk among the old elms on the Kamon-kő nature trail, when you dip into the waves of Lake Balaton, there is always a little more. Szigliget gives visitors an extra charge that will make them want to come back here. For us who live here, who have been fortunate enough to work for Szigliget, we can have one goal: to preserve Szigliget as the miracle that God created it to be.
