We welcome sports enthusiasts to our artificial turf football pitch!
We would like to draw the attention of sports leaders, fellow sportspeople, and anyone interested in playing sport, that on 28 December 2007, Szigliget became the first in the area to open a 20×40-metre artificial turf football pitch.
The 900-square-metre facility was realised with an investment of nearly ten million forints, funded from a dedicated budget. The pitch was manufactured and installed by a Belgian company (DOMO). The surrounding fence was built by municipal employees, the nets were purchased by the Szigliget sports association, and private individuals provided financial support for the floodlighting.
This facility is part of an ongoing effort to make Szigliget's primary school one of the most beautifully situated and best-equipped schools in the area. This pitch represents a significant step in that direction. Our early experience shows that children love it and enjoy using it. It also serves as an excellent venue for physical education classes. Currently, children also use it during breaks between lessons. Of course, locals and visitors alike are welcome to use the artificial turf pitch outside of school sessions and football training. Anyone who observes the rules of use and pays the rental fee may hire it.
The rental fees for the pitch are as follows:

| Changing room use, in addition to the rental fee | 1,000 HUF/hour |
| Use of pitch floodlighting, in addition to the rental fee | 1,000 HUF/hour |
Residents of Szigliget are exempt from the fee.
The revenue generated will be used to cover operating costs and to recoup the initial investment.
