Szászi Estate is one of Hungary’s first certified organic vineyards. We cultivate 20 hectares in the Badacsony wine region, with our vineyards located on the southern slopes of Saint George Hill, as well as in Szigliget, Hajagos and Lesencetomaj.
Our first wine shop opened here in Szigliget, beneath the castle, in the early 1990s, and has since become an iconic part of our story. It was here that Endre first began selling bottled wines from local winemakers. As the estate grew and developed, we gradually shifted our focus, and today we exclusively offer wines produced on our own estate.
Our philosophy is as simple as our relationship with the landscape around us: to create something beautiful and enduring while showing the utmost respect for our environment. This is why we are committed to organic farming and sustainable estate development. Our goal is to tell the story of this unique corner of the world through our wines, combining traditional and modern winemaking techniques, environmentally conscious cultivation, and a deep respect for nature, while allowing each vintage to express its own distinctive character.
